Lennon River waterfall
by Dalia Taftazani
A hidden secret, a magical spot that really took my breath away.
Hidden away from the world is this beautiful waterfall. The woodlands around it are really spectacular, especially in Autumn. On a glorious autumn day when every leaf was a flower, as they say, I happily got lost in this wonderland, with its clear river happily reflecting all the colourful autumn trees, that it was so hard to tell where the river's edge starts and where the ground and golden trees stand.
The surroundings are just so beautifully dramatic.
You just HAVE TO go!
The waterfall is on a small road, so do be careful. But, with wellies on and a picnic, you can enjoy something wild and different in beautiful Ramelton, exploring around the river, watching out for fish and Grey Herons patiently waiting for lunch.
The best way to get there is to park at the Drummonaghan woods parking area, a 2 min walk from the waterfall, but you can sure do hear it roaring asking the road,
so forget the map and follow your senses to get you there.
