The Glebe House and Gallery

by Dalia Taftazani

The Glebe House and Gallery is a magical place to visit and explore.

Set in a beautiful woodland around Lough Gartan, you can find the Glebe House, which dates back to 1828 and is where the famous painter Derek Hill once lived from 1950 to 1980. He donated his house with all its contents to the Irish people.

The house is now a museum and opens to the public, and the gallery is an excellent place for art lovers.

It's truly a lovely place for a day out in all seasons, even just for a walk. The view of Gartan lake is mesmerizing and great for kids to splash away and throw rocks.

There's usually a lot to explore around, and now they have a wildflower meadow ..a safe haven for wildlife and happily buzzing bees.
